On longer runs my leg goes numb, usually the left, sometimes the right.  It starts in the foot and works its way up to the thigh.  This is obviously a nerve (sciatic?) condition.  What can I do to make it stop--better insoles, other suggestions?  I'm wearing Nike air max moto 3.  Have been fitted by a "shoe pro" in this shoe before, but never discussed this problem with him, which I obviously intend to do, but wanted to see what the BTers thought.  Thanks.

Go ask a doctor. Let a sports med guy figure it out.

Yes, sports med. doctor and/or podiatrist would be my recommendation.

go see a sports doc.  Then when you are better tell me what he said   My leg doesn't go numb running (my toes do, though), but I have pain, weakness and minor loss of control of my foot. It sucks.  Mine is - they think - due to a bulging disk at L4/5.  But MRI didn't show any nerve root compression.  Go figure.

I had this issue and got a cheaper fix. Try a Massage Therapist. I was lucky because my wife is one, but it worked. I didn't have to go to the doctor. Basically, my sore and tight muscles were "tweaking" a nerve.
