I just put a business card in my Fuel Belt pouch and in my saddle bag. Cheap, and I have hundreds of them

As long as we are on the topic of identity theft...did you know you can get a free credit report from 3 major agencies for FREE once a year? No catch. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/edcams/freereports/index.html

I did this today and found a credit card on there that I never applied for. I would have been 15 years old at the time...I entered a dispute on 2 sites so I am hoping it will disappear. Luckily the person with the card has been paying their bill.

actually there is a catch...pulling your credit report will decrease your credit score.

rather just sign up for American Express' credit watch.  any changes to your credit reports and they send you notification of what it is and also help you if your identity is stolen.

Myth. Urban Legend. Consumers have a right to look at their credit score. Checking your credit score will show up on the report as a "consumer pull", and will not impact the score. This site explains a lot about it: http://www.fightidentitytheft.com.

I prefer the ankle version. Plus it gets me use to having a "champion chip" on. That way it's not a weird feeling during the race. Train how you race...as much as possible.

But now that I have one, I never excercise without it. I get some crap from the roadies, but that's ok. It's my luck that I'll get dropped and then get run over. Hopefully they don't chop off my left leg. But the bottom line: WEAR IT!!!

I went to the local Army Navy store and got dog tags printed for about 1/3 the cost of Road ID.

As far as I know your full name, medical history, and contact numbers are the most important info to put on the tag.  A lot of doctors can search by name and birth date so you might want that as well since you are likely to be going to your local hospital anyway if you are training.

How do you secure the dog tags? When I'm running, nothing bugs me more than something flapping around my neck, beaning me in the sternum.

I liked the RoadID because of the reflective fibers in the ankle ID. I am a sucker for multitasking toys.

I tuck it in my sports bra usually.  The couple of times I forgot I didn't notice it bouncing to badly, but most running or cycling tops are a bit on the snug side anyway.
