Subject: RE: Shipping my bike Some LBS rent bike boxes. Also, you can get a cardboard box from your LBS that a NEW bike came in, just pack it very well with plenty of padding. Would take partial dis-assembly and re-assembly at the other end, not rocket surgery but you would have to know what end of a wrench goes where. Airlines charge $75-$100 each way to transport a bike, versus ~$50 from Fed/UPS. You would need someone on the receiving in of the Fed/UPS shipment. Don't they have tris in your part of the country? |
