Took it for a spin yesterday for the first time. Seems like the yellow nylon chord requires more art than skill. I wound it up and inserted as instructed but the center of the roll started to bottom out with a few bumps. Then I was going down a pretty good descent and hit three bumps in rapid succession. Next thing I know I'm wearing my Gatorade and the nylon cord is draped across my leg flapping in the wind. I was fortunate it didn't get caught up in my back wheel. Naturally I hate this POS and want a replacement. Is the jetstream any easier?

Damn, Chucky, pay attention. I've been advocating poofies for years now:

haha, poofies, nice.

thx Bear. Do you, like the others in that thread, only drink water out of yours?

I've heard the Jetstream has a porous sponge top, that seems so much "smarter".

Yeah, water only so far, though the poofie reduces spillage so I may try some gatorade.

I usually drink whatever sports drink I'm using at the time out of the aero bottle, and have water in another bottle. I like having water accessable for squirting things off--my head when it's hot, my sticky hands from eating gels, etc.

For inquiring minds, I found that a lot of people have replaced the yellow nylon chord with this:

Most people seem to like the profile bottle more than the jetstream, but they like the jetstream sponge and use it in the profile bottle.
