Subject: water temp avg 68-70 wetsuit??
Hi there!!
I am doing my first sprint tri in Delaware in August. The race info says that the water temp avgs btwn 68 and 70 degrees. What is your opinion of the need for a wetsuit?

Thanks, Christy

If the race allows wet suits i.e. allowance based on Temperatur 74 degrees I think, then wear the wet suit. The wetsuit makes you more boyant and helps conserve energy for the bike and run.
This was the advice given to me by some seasoned triathletes.

Wear the suit, but make sure you practise with it first.
