The good news, a speedy new ride.

The bad news, the view out my window this morning.

Well atleast you can do something today.  Its raining like a mad man outside and I can't do anything.  No trainer, swam last night, and can't go running

hurray for lazy days and your rest days

Well, when you can ride, it looks like you have a sweet road behind your house to cruise on. (If that's what it is - between your backyard and the hill in front of the townhouses.)

I was faced with some bad weather when I first got my new bike - it was a bummer. I still had the old one up on the trainer (didn't want my first rides on my new bike to be on the trainer), and so I stared at the new bike the entire time I rode the old one on the trainer. I'm pathetic.

Enjoy it. It's a nice a bike .

It's actually a bike path - pretty sweet too. I can probably ride close to 40km along that path and only cross a handful of roads. The trick is to not get busted for speeding as it cuts through downtown (20km/h speed limit!)

Definitely a sweet new ride - and it's YELLOW!  That's my favorite color, and it is sure faster than Red.

Sorry for the luck on the weather though.  You'll appreciate the maiden voyage even more once it breaks.

I second that... the Yellow bikes sure are faster than red bikes. None of that non-aero red paint!

Shocking!! Another Cervelo purchase .......

At least you had it on the trainer so you can spin on it to get used to it. When the weather breaks you'll be able to get out and rack in the miles!

Enjoy!

And oddly enough, I just bought new pedals and shoes last week - both yellow (this was before I bought the bike!)

I think I will dub this bike "Charlie Brown."

Yup - Canadian made, and pretty much the only bike I could find that fit my short torso and long legs without swapping out almost every part on the bike. Wanted a Felt, but it was just too long in the top tube for me...

Gotta love a Spring snow shower.

The other good news is... the first ride out will be all the sweeter after the long anticipation.

Sweet bike, but I'm confused why you didn't run?  I love running in snow.

Ran Friday, ran today - Saturday was a bike day for me, so I ended up spinning on the trainer for 45 minutes (short, but I'm not really used to the new position yet!)

Looks like sunny and warm the rest of the week - yay! Went for a quick spin on the new bike today - damn, that's fast. Wish I knew just how fast - don't have the computer on it yet, and I forgot my GPS at home :-)

SWEET RIDE!! may you log many fast fast miles (kilometers) on good ole Charlie Brown. my girlfriend (from Calgary and relocated here in Texas) grabbed the computer trying to figure out if she could determine what part of town that picture was taken in. crazy how you can get frostbite in one place and sunburnt in another on the same day.................

Ha! I saw your bad news pic before I read where you were from, and thought, "Hey! That's exactly what it looked like in MY backyard yesterday, too!!!" Gotta love the weather in Calgary....yeah, if you're a skiier or snowboarder!

And strangely enough, I DID get a sunburn today!

PS...NICE bike.

Nice Bike... I dunno what ppart of town you are in, but it did not look like that anywhere I was today!! Or yesterday for that matter...

Good to see another hometowner... And as one Calgarian to another... don't like the weather, wait ten minutes... I will be looking for that speedy bike zipping through my neighbourhood. I can only assume that the snow means you are in the NW part of town!

Cheers,
