Subject: Something for *after* chafing?

Got a very small chafing spot on my arm from the weekend run, so I know now to hit that spot w/some body glide next time I wear that top, so that's not a big deal, live and learn and all that.

However, is there anything I can put on that spot now to help it heal up faster?  It's annoying the daylights out of me.

Neosporin or Aquaphor both have worked for me.

That sucks, I feel for you!

Cool, I've got some neosporin around here somewhere - thanks!  Amazing how one little spot will drive you up a wall.

Duct tape to keep it from getting even more chafed. Works great on blisters too.

For low tech, corn starch. I love corn starch. And you can use it make pudding and thicken gravies, too!

Bag Balm

before and after.

Another for Bag Balm, especially after when I forget to put it on before.

I picked up bag balm from my LBS.  I think I paid about $4 for a tiny little pot of it.  Since then I've moved to an agricultural community and when I went into the feed store to pick up dogfood I found a huge container of bag balm for $4.  It's magical stuff.

Nobody has mentioned superglue yet -- that stuff works wonders to put up a barrier and it eventually falls off.

We use it at the lake all the time on bigger cuts and scrapes although I would never recommend it for anyone.

I just posted this on another thread, but I'll put in another plug for Burt's Bees diaper cream.  It sticks just like Desitin, but smells better.

i just use a coco butter based lotion.  Anything high in fatty acids (read:  XXXXXX  butter) should do a good job.
