Fluid Recovery Drink - Chocolate Wave flavor.

It's like drinking a tootsie roll.

I just came back from a 2 hour run and I really do not feel like eating anything but there drink named "Power" is sold as a recovery drink, not sweet and that really takes my thirst away. Two huge glasses of that with room temp water and I am good to go.

It's really hot here so often I don't feel like eating anything for an hour or so. Plus I'm lactose intolerant and find most sweet stuff, including commercial recovery drinks, nauseating. My new favorite is the protein smoothies from a place that's recently opened in the neighborhood. They make them with soy, rice, or almond milk since probably most of their customers can't handle milk, either--best ones are peanut butter and banana, and any of the frozen berry smoothies with protein powder. When I was doing tri training I actually ended my bricks there!  Foodwise, once I cool down, peanut butter and banana sandwiches. If we're talking really long run/brick, that's just a warmup for an eventual brunch (omelette, bagel, homefries, veggies, humus, juice, coffee, fruit) at my favorite cafe downtown. I'm very well-fueled!

Two bowls of cereal. Usually raisin bran. Carbs and fiber from the cereal. Protein and fluids from the milk. Someone once told me you can't get fat eating cereal. I have been trying to prove him wrong for years.

Pint or two of milk, Banana, Yogurt and peanut butter.  Thats my usual.  I spread some peanut butter on each bite of banana.

Sometimes buffalo chicken blue cheese dressing and a pint or two of milk. That one is good too.

If its hot out than I always like to do a pint of two of milk, (notice a theme?) with half a cantalope filled with 2 cans of tuna mixed up with mayonaise and pickle relish.

I liked the one someone posted about bacon and eggs and toast, but thats usualy my pre-workout meal.  I try to eat it atleast an hour before I head out.

I usually workout in the late afternoon or early evening so my post workout drink/snack is usually a good ale and a few handfuls of nuts!

When it's cold outside I love campbells soup at hand Chicken with mini noodles. Settles my tummy, sodium replacement, and warms my insides.
