Comments: I went out way to fast. My splits were: 0.5 @ 8:19; 1 @ 8:19; 1.5 @ 8:45; 2.0 @ 9:01; 2.5 @ 9:16; 3.0 @ 9:16; 3.1 @ 9:16. Once I realized my mistake I attempted to hold it together as good as possible. What would you do differently?: I need to workout an Average Heart Rate as well as an Average Pace to keep my pacing more level. I will work this fall on pacing smarter and hopefully my race times will drop also. Post race
Warm down: None really. I got water and my gear to hit the hot tub. Within the hour I performed 30 minutes easy spinning. What limited your ability to perform faster: A couple of things. Not racing for two months and uneven run splits. Event comments: Nice little Tualatin run. The post race was water\juice and a snack. No real post race festivities but it were charity for a fallen soldier so the money is going to the correct place. Last updated: 2011-10-22 12:00 AM

Bought a 5Hr shot to go with my water. Ate a Powerbar. I skipped the Breakfast Burrito this race as a test.
30 minutes prior to the race I did some light jogging. I worked on some strides and some high knee drills.
