Subject: RE: Tough Mudder 2012 at Mount SnowI did Tough Mudder Mt. Snow this year. It was a lot of fun and didn't fail to meet my expectations. The obstacles weren't as hard as I anticipated from a strength perspective, but what made the event brutal was the hills and the water obstacles. The very first obstacle is a 1.5 mile charge straight up a double black diamond ski trail. It. Never. Ends. The majority of the hills came in the first half of the course, so it was a long stretch of unforgiving steep grades. Pretty easy to stay warm, even though it was freezing. The majority of the obstacles were back loaded in the course where there were less hills. So it was much harder to stay warm because there wasn't as much running and the water obstacles were BRUTAL. They had mylar blankets at every water obstacle, but you reached a point where you could not warm up. It was hard, but it was a ton of fun and my friends and I ended with huge smiles on our faces. Just go out and have fun. |
