Don't know if this is a repost but I came across the story of Scout Basset on a car forum (ironically).  Great story of overcoming hardships and really leaves me with no excuses. At. All.

Thanks for sharing.  I have always liked the inspiration stories in Ironman and I find it more remarkable that they finish than myself.  Being out there for 14, 15, 16, 17 hours is a long-time and I always try to go back to IM finishes to see the final finisher.
