Subject: 12.13.11 Tuesday Training

Good morning!  I awoke to a catastrotree (see what I did there Tongue out)...our huge Christmas tree toppled over yet again.  The worst part is hubby just filled it with water Monday morning.  We have wood floors.  No bueno.  But...we got it back up and modified the stand a bit and hopefully that sucker will stay up until Dec. 26.  I have a feeling hubby will want it out of the house the second Christmas is over.  Humbug.

Needless to say, got a late start to the training.

4:35am:  warm up

4:45am:  3.5 mile run

After run first half of Insanity Upper Body Strength.  I am going to count on this thread to keep me accountable tomorrow...I will finish the second half of strength training tomorrow morning.

Pastries with Parents tonight at the school...another long day, but will be fun.

4:35 is "late"? Ugh!  Was virtuous and did 45 min. run at 5:15 AM, but the streetlights went out shortly after and it wasn't light until almost 6, when I finished. Had a flashlight and rear light but still couldn't see very well so pretty slow and cautious.

2500m swim this PM. Made it to 300 km of swimming this year. Celebrated by doing one of my favorite workouts--lots of 100 IM's. Kind of silly for tri, but a fun way to get in the distance! Heading to bed soon; 2 1/2 days to go. Enjoy the pastries!

Was intending to run 5 miles this am, but slept in instead.   all was not lost as yesterday i got my p90x2, so i was able to get 30 minutes of x2 core in.  Hope to get the run and rest of core in after work.  that's the plan anyway.

1200 yds in the pool. The knee is actually feeling a bit better. I am hopeful that I may be on the bike next week.

Good Morning from Rofo, PA!

5:30 am -- 5 mi run through the neighborhood.  It was brutally cold (for me) this morning, 20 degree's and dark of course, but I love the serenity of early morning runs and getting to watch the sunrise is my fav!

Y'all need to come down and lie around in the tropical sun with me breezes blowing, not chilly wind and tons of cheap, yet oh-so-smooth and delicious umbrella/fruit-garnish drinks. The eye candy around here is unrivalled.

I was a bad girl. 10min/5min brick (world's slowest! I swear!), 22min yoga.

I'm gonna see the podiatrist/foot expert today and see what the diagnosis is about the sore right foot arch I felt last Friday.  If the diagnosis is allows me to start running again, I'm gonna do a very easy 5 mile run at recovery pace after work. =)

I've got an open call out on BT to come visit and stay with me anytime ... heck, I've had an open call out on BT to marry me since 2007, too, but no dice yet.

Due to time restraints I have to quit working out in the morning, and move my workouts to after work. 

 

This afternoon I am going for a 30min bike followed by a 45 min run.

Up at 5am

hit the road about 5:20ish

12 mile run in the cold rain.  3mi warmup, 7 at Tempo pace (95-98% LT), 2mi chilldown.

felt good!
