I don't care so much about dates, just don't make it 8am.  You have to get to the Y ones so freaking early if you want to go out with an early wave plus the 30 min drive kill me and honestly kept me at home all last year.

9am+ please!

I'm interested in this as well.

Side note to bgraboski - I rode my bike up & back last year to the OWS leaving home around 6am.  A little over an hour each way as I recall.  Think you live kinda near me (just south of Dilworth).  Any interest in joining me for that a few times this spring?

Yeah I might be able to make a few of those.  remind me later in the season and we can pick a date.  My schedule will be a little crazy as IM training starts, wife starts her HIM training, and a 5 year old in 3 sports, but I am sure I can do this at least once or twice.

My MIL lives on Lake Wylie.  I plan to start doing a OW in April or May.  I have the route saved in the "Routes" section but don't know how to provide a link to it.  It is exactly 1 mile from her dock then around the point to a neighbors dock.  Let me know if anyone is interested.

Hi,

I live near Uptown Charlotte, and just started with Triathlons, actually doing my first (Jetton Tri (sprint)) . I am interested in the OW Swimming as I would like to do some trainning and probably try a longer distance Triathlon (oly) in this season.

Let me know about these, by the way do you think these swims require using full wetsuits?

Manuel

I need to apologize to any of you guys/gals who wanted to do this.  I wound up having to sell my bike to pay property taxes and turned back into a couch potato somewhat.  If anyone wants to try again, I now have a pontoon boat that can fit plenty of people.  If the other poster who mentioned Wylie is still doing these, I would be happy to provide support assuming the schedule allows.

So bored at work and was thinking the best way to plan some swims would be through Facebook with the event tool. That way we can get a headcount and plan things easy. I created a group, South Charlotte Tri Group, made it closed forader now but you can stil join. So if interested any objections doing that? Let me know if you cant find it and are interested.
