Several of the 5150's have been cancelled and have to wonder if this is another one. |

Pro 4149 Baton Rouge area Gold member | Subject: RE: 5150 New Orlean Interesting, going to be hot but the timing works for me and since I can't make the LA Marathon may substitute this. A few interesting notes: Swim waves are interesting - for (AG) men its basically 39 and under or 40 and over. Either suggests large wave starts or low participation expected. Swim course - I half expected them to use a similar course as the new 70.3 swim but they look to use a course similar to 2010's 70.3 swim course. In the FAQ they list the normal water temp as mid-70's. In June? Not an expert but I doubt this will be wetsuit legal. |

Veteran 253 Mandeville, la | Subject: RE: 5150 New Orlean I have plans to do the Oxbow tri this march. Going to treat it as a pre warm up for my half ironman in florida at the end of may. And now that a date has been set for 5150 ill be sure to sign up for that one as well. Hope they dont cancel the swim like they did last year. |
