Runners wearing Spira shoes have already won numerous marathons. Spira has announced they will be releasing a racing flat model this year. I may try them when they reach the market. I saw the Spira performance trainer at their booth at the Boston marathon expo in 2009 and they looked very nice. The guy in the article does sound like he's shot himself in the foot several times. Given the track record of UA running shoes so far, it would have had to be a huge hit with the reviewers for the shoe to have even sold very much. Their new shoe, Charge RC, hasn't been reviewed very favorably. He might do well with Adidas, who has a decent record with performance running shoes. |
