Run
Comments: We started in the back and stayed there. You had to run in the road because the shoulders were black ice. Thinned out about mile two. Its a hilly course and it was the first time I heard Mike breathing as hard as I do. We came up on a lady who everytime we got close she would speed up. this happened like 5 times of so. We finally got ahead for a little bit but she passed us on your the big hill. We chatted and that she took off we walked the rest of the hill. We did get her on the final down hill. Then there was a car off the road huh? Didn't look anyone got hurt, the sheriff and the tow truck was there already waiting for the race to get by. What would you do differently?: Its a training race for other then stay home it was good. Post race
Warm down: Picked up a banana for Y and headed to Brueggers for a bagel with Mike. What limited your ability to perform faster: Adipose tissue. Event comments: 4 down two to go! Last updated: 2011-10-20 12:00 AM

Up at 7:30. Made kettle corn for the baby shower. Had a piece of toast and coffee. Turned Willie and headed out at 8:45 to get a parking space in the lot. No go on that. Got a little water and took a gel.
Met Mike at the starting line coughing already. He was operating on 4 hours of sleep. His Madi alarm clock woke him up, so he came out to play. Ken had to bail for a funeral. To bad misery loves company.
Decided to take it easy on Mike cardio/pulm system. I was in agreement since after mile or two I could feel the ice skating I did running up to swim on tuesday. Off we went.
Since its 32 degrees and usually its -5 to 10 degrees we stood and enjoyed the warmth.
