Should I sell the 310xt and get the 910xt for the pool swimming?  Is it worth it?

If you're a data junkie like me, then yes.  If you like minimalism (wear one device for the entire triathlon), then yes.  I kept my 305 however, just as a backup.  I may use it a couple of times a month to keep the battery fresh.  But I LOVE my 910xt.  In regards to lap swimming, I have used it 6 times and only once did it make a mistake in regards to my stroke type & number of lengths.  It was on that occasion that I was trying something different (resting at wall without pressing lap).  Every time I've used the device as directed, it has been 100% accurate.

Maybe I will.  $400 is a lot steep.  How much should would one pay for a used 310xt that is is still in real good shape?

I love my 910xt. Love it. I remember thinking that I would be disappointed when I got it because there was no way it could live up to my expectations, but it does.

Wish I would have waited to get the 310.... it is less than a year old.  I had no idea they were coming out with the 910.

A couple 310xt's were recently in the classfieds for $200 and sold pretty quick.

I would say blow out your 310 now or keep it as a back up.

I don't see them holding the $200 value for very much longer. They will soon become an unwanted device if you ask me.

Heck I bought a back up 305 not long ago brand new for 139 with strap.
