May is good for me (after the Cap City Half/May 5th)- even Memorial Day weekend.    I have a wedding to go to Saturday afternoon but the morning is good.

Look forward to meeting more of the BT forum members!

OOOH - I have it on the calendar May 19th!

Kristin

Here are some routes I threw together.  You don't have to decide now or even tell me what you're doing.  I have the bike and run starts at the northern-most parking row.  I thought we could just meet there.  And, so you know, I'm not in charge of the food, just the bike and run organization.

12/24 mile bike (Tri-tech course)

17/34 mile bike (Wendy's course)

5k run

10k run

edit:  **I have a suspicion that the links won't work unless you have a garmin account.  I'll try to link them a different way...

Both sets of directions are the same, just different links.  Look 'em over prior to coming out, please!

12/24 bike

17/34 bike

10k run

5k run

Oh, that run course is different! Looks easier to follow than the one they use for races.

Holy north wind, Batman!

Ran boths courses today to check distances.  They check out perfectly.  I will set up a marker for the 5k turnaround for Saturday.  Swim boundries are already set up, people already sunbathing (especially the guy in the thong.  That was a lovely sight.)

Keep in mind, the run courses are not according to any race.  I just wanted to keep as many ticks off of us as humanly possible.

So, formally, who (how many people) are we looking out for?  If you're coming, drop a quick note here!

Steve-o (smuskopf) and I (sungirl) will definitely be there.

So much fun!  I'd post pictures (if I could figure out how to resize the darn things)!  Keep a lookout for open water swim postings!  That water was niiiiiiiiiice.

No vest, thanks.

I really wanted to join y'all today - I even just got my new wetsuit and was looking forward to giving it its first try, but things just kinda got away from me and I couldn't get going early enough to make it from Cleveland. With a HM tomorrow morning, it's probably for the best, anyway.

Perhaps I'll get to meet some of ya at Deer Creek?

As i decided to reenter the race world (and regain fitness), I thought should revisit beginner tri.
Rather than start a thread to say I am back from the dead. I thought I would find a dead thread to bring back with me.

So, who is up for the not so annual BT May training @ alum?

I haven't posted on BT in 3 and a half years. I ran the 2012 and 2013 columbus marathon. I quit lifting in 2012. I didn't bike or swim much. Then I all but stopped running, biking and swimming.

2014 and 15 I did not do much of anything.

I am ready to start again.

I am a re-beginner athlete.
