Hello All,

After 7 days of rain and a terrible stock market I ventured out on the bike to checkout the course. Yikes, it is in rough shape. The section on Main Street is littered with sand, gravel, rocks and other assorted washout stuff. I also noticed that the roads which as many of you know are not in great shape are worse than in years past. There are some new deep potholes which could ruin a nice set of race wheels. As we all know there is not alot of road width on places during the course I am concerned this could create problems for riders with the traffic. I would suggest all those who have the time to get out here and ride the course so you have an idea where the obstacles are so you dont have any issues on race day. By the way, Main street is not the only problem.

I would be interested in getting together with any other people next weekend to ride and run the course. Perhaps I can be coaxed to go in the water but it better get warmer in the next week or so or NO dice. This would be at a casual pace and I would probably be interested in tacking on a few more bike miles for those who are interested also snail pace.

Hopefully, this information will be helpful and some of you will take me up on the group action. If people are interested post time and date which works for you or send me a pm.

Seth

Hey Seth,

Thanks for the update. Glad I finally got those 606s figured out so I can take them up to Lake T and trash 'em.

Not sure which day yet, maybe Tues, but I'll be in the lake next week!!! Who's in???

Uh cappy,

I am thinking during the weekend..that would be sat, sun , or mon. Not knowing the days of the long weekend is a sign of over trainning now get off your bike and have some cake!

Weekend??? Guess I missed that part. I thought you were talking about an after work swim like we did last season...

Either way, I'm in!!!

And, I don't suffer from over training, I suffer from over eating!

I probably can't make it during the week next week. Tuesday I am in NY and Thursday I have a charity dinner so the week is a little tight. I can probably get there during the weekend however.

I'll have to pass as I am still in my no bike/no run transition week (though I may spin for 30 min tonight)...need to recharge the batteries after a couple of early season big races.

I could be in for the Sat, 6/3 option assuming I'm not out of the game after Tuesday's ortho appt.  I'm supposed to do a swim / bike brick that day.

Oops...I really need to learn to read dates. I would be up for a swim/bike but I would have to go earlier (like 8:00). My wife will never let me wait until 10:00 to start my work-out

And I need to read times.  Early (8:00 am) is better for me as well Family patient enough with my workouts but prefers that I'm done early as well.  Usually on the weekends they're waiting at the door at 10 am wondering where I am.   I guess I can't use water temp as an excuse as my kids just finished swimming around in our 60 degree water temp pool (and no wetsuits).

Well, if you're going to do all that, why not just head up to N.H. and do the Moose???
