Has anyone ridden Harriman yet this year? I'm heading up next weekend to train and am curious about the road conditions and if they're all open. I know that Tiorati Brook Rd has construction but haven't heard anything else.

Did you get a chance to ride?  I'm doing the NYTC tri there on 5/20.  Is Tiorati open?  I don't think it's part of this year's course.

I live on the boarder of HSP and ride Harriman a few times a week...

All roads are good to ride on and the conditions are the same as last year!  There is no construction on Tiaroti Brook Rd.

Enjoy the training!!

Ummm... I wasn't, but I might be now.

The funny thing is, my buddy, who hates hills and hates cold water picked this race for us to do. I don't particularly mind either one, but I was a little surprised that he woudl choose it. But I said to him a couple of weeks ago, "YOu know there are a bunch of hills and the water's going to be really cold, right?" and he practically turned green. I had figured that he picked it as a way of confronting his limiters, but I think he was just ill-informed.

I bought my neoprene cap. Bring on the 51-degree water! Lucky it's only a 500y swim.

We've been riding Harriman for the last few weeks.
Roads are ok. Not completely deplorable.
Still very cold in the am up there. Not sure how the swim for HarryMan is going to go..
