YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!!

Did you like your wetsuit - QD?

Tis the season of groups swims - I look forward to the next!

I did! I think that's the one I'm gonna go with. Although I'm not completely sure if I would have been able to feel if anything was chafing. LOL But WOW, I now understand why we wear wetsuits! It's like flying. I'm gonna have to research the tricks for getting the darn thing off my feet though. Bodyglide, yeah?

My scientific approach is to pull the leg off as far as I can, then stand on it, and yank my foot out.  Repeat other leg.  It's not fancy, but it works!  And it's FAST.

Like I said to the people staring when we got out of the lake, "it's not too bad once you go numb."

Ditto! I was surprisingly comfortable after about a minute. LOL But at least 2 ppl as I was walking back to the car said things like "What, you're done already?!" SHEESH

Bought my own suit yesterday! Woo! As soon as it's slightly warmer we must have Open Swim #2!

You guys are tougher than me.  I wussed out and ran on the dreadmill instead of braving the overcast ugliness of the outdoors.

I'll join y'all closer to Memorial Day.

No worries! It really was nasty outside that morning. But we were there, so figured we'd better suck it up & follow through. LOL Definately looking forward to group swims in nicer weather.

There is one truth about swimming in bad weather.  The water itself can often be a respite from the cold/rain.    At the Lake Marion race a few years ago (in August, btw) I sat neck deep in the water for 10 minutes.  It was preferable to standing in the air.   Okay, the lake was probably too cold in April to do this, but it works in the summer!

There is a lot of truth in that. I can attest to it.
