Regular  95  Bronx |  Subject: Riverhead Rocks inaugural OlyI still don't have my race schedule ironed out for 2012 and I noticed that Event Power is staging a new olympic distance event on July 29 in Riverhead. http://eventpowerli.com/events/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=123&Itemid=76 In the interest of trying to gauge how big of a field it might attract, how many here are considering or have already signed up? I've raced with Event Power before and been more than happy... has anyone raced one of their first time events? Thanks! |

I am considering the race because it was not an option when I set up my original schedule. I have nothing planned for July so depending on some injuries I am nursing it is a definite maybe. | 4 | Subject: RE: Riverhead Rocks inaugural Oly The bike route is pretty cool. Me and 4 of my friends are all signes up, as we are all from Riverhead, the swim location is kind of surprising but I understand why it's there. We are all first timers so it should be interesting haha |

Nice little park/boardwalk area for the swim start and transition....the water looked pool-like at least in calmness...slightly concerned about narrow waterway and dirty water but I guess thats why we have an immune system lol |
