Just wanted to share, yesterday I did my first OWS over at Lake Norman in NC, did a 750 mts swim, and immediately after I did my first ride wearing clipless pedals (20km). Both felt great! I am doing my frist sprint on May 12 and already thinking on signing up for a couple more sprints and an Oly this season. I haven't done a simgle race and I feel hooked already!

This is exactly how I felt not even a month into the training, and long before i ever did my first race
It's like I'd finally found what I should have been doing all along.

Today was my first OWS also. I only went 300 yards because the lake I swam wasn't the best location. There were a lot of paddle boats and kayaks in the water. What I did find is my wetsuit is ridiculously fast in the water. I didn't feel like I was swimming that hard but my 910xt said I was doing 1:00-1:05/100yd. I normally swim 1:15 on the fast end for shorter swims.

I've just started using clipless as well, and I'm pretty sure it's more mental than anything else... I've packed some large band-aids in my bag just in case! I like riding to work, but there's a lot of long stop lights that I always seem to hit wrong. More practice, I guess?
