mark your calendars for 5:50pm this Wednesday night (May 24th) as Channel 4 News will be airing a very special story on Jon Callahan who is the 45 year old gentleman with Down Syndrome who finished the VA Run Sprint Tri in an amazing 1 hour 54 min 51 seconds! Be sure to check out his story!

This is what is great about this sport - as long as you're willing to train up and give it your best shot, everyone is welcomed.  I'll be trying my best to be home to see this.

nowhere near dc but that is amazing! my ma used to teach adults with downs and many have a lower life expectancy due to the various problems associated with their condition. hearing about something liek this is great news

The clip isn't on the site - I've emailed them and asked them to please put it up - I'll keep checking back on the site and see if they've posted it.  It was really great - his coach is also a member of the DC Tri Club and they interviewed her for it as well.

They finally got around to posting the video on the site - if you go to http://www.nbc4.com/video/index.html and pick sports from the dropdown it should be there.
