I tried searching the forums to see if this had been discussed yet.  Prducts website is:

www.generationucan.com/super.html

Does anyone have experience using this for workouts/races of various durations?  If yes, how did this fit into your overall nutrition plan?  UCAN plus water only?  Did it replace other sources like GU's?  Any details much appreciated!!

I have heard really awesome things about this product.  Haven't used it yet myself, but I placed an order which should arrive next week.  My friend (phatknot) used it for HIM.  Had one before and one during.  That's it!  And he did a 4:26, so I'd say it seems to work well!

I was also going to suggest phatnot, check out threads he has participated in recently.  One of them he speaks very highly of UCAN.  He and I had a brief conversation about UCAN this past weekend.  I'll try it but I'm just a bit too close to my "A" race to start messing with a nutrition plan that works.  I am, however, looking forward to trying it.

I got hooked up with a pack and will give it a whirl soon. It was emphasized that it has to be taken before exercise and no gastro distress was repeated 10x. Can't really chime in much more yet...but it was left at "let me know what you think" so i may have some follow up.

So, I have a follow up.  I've been using it for the past couple of weeks for long runs and rides.  Last Saturday was the ultimate test: a 102 mile bike ride with 8,000 feet of climbing (all in the second half).  I took 1 packet before, 1 at mile 40 and 1 at mile 80.  Other than that, I had a few banana chunks (maybe 3 or 4) and water with nuun in it.  That's it and I had plenty of energy.  This stuff is really amazing.  I'm a fan.  I never felt like I was going to bonk.  I have noticed that I'm not super hungry after eating it. Even after the century, I didn't really feel like eating.

Timely thread.  I've been working with a new nutritionist who raves about this stuff.  I have some on order to give it a whirl while I dial in a nutrition plan.

Glad to hear others have had good success!  I'll come back to this thread if I have anything to add. :D

This seems like a ringing endorsement, enough so that I just placed an order.  I should have it in time for a ride similar to this followed by a 1 hour t-run.  I look forward to trying it.

Did you use the RUNDAY discount?  20% off!  Good through tomorrow, I think.  I ordered a case yesterday.

Okay I'm also reviving this thread. I just tried it for the first time today. I'm curious how everyone is doing with this product. I found the taste/texture to be very different from anything else I've tried and I'm looking for tips to get it to blend more easily and how people are really using it.

I can't imagine drinking this on the go during a workout honestly so I'm wondering if people are doing that.

Does anybody know of any retailers that sell Superstarch in the Southern California area? In specific, the Ventura County region? I've been to the Ucan website and am aware of the list of retailers they provide. I called the one store that is in reasonable proximity to me (Santa Barbara) and they are out of stock on it. I would and will just order it online in the future but I have a race coming up in a few days and would like to experiment with it prior to racing. I thought that perhaps because of the recent popularity of the product, additional retailers may be carrying it and that the website list of retailers may not reflect new distributors yet. Any information would help and thanks in advance.
