Just signed up for the official first triathlon. It's just to get one under my belt, because the training I'm doing is aimed at an Oly in September. Still need to sign up for that one. It's the one that will REALLY mean something!

Today I found out that the official check in for our Disney trip is a weekend earlier than I thought. This means we head out the same day as my first tri. I'm gonna try my best to not have to cancel, but we'll see what happens. We were planning on leaving at like 5am, but now this will set us back several hours!

At least I'll be able to use the famous "I'm going to Disney" line and really mean it (when I win)...

If the race is part of a series you may be able to get the race director to shift your entry to the next race.

If you do do the race they will probably close the park entrance/exit while people are racing.  Given the wave starts, figure that you won't be able to leave until 2-3 hours after the first wave starts.  Plan accordingly.

This race is just a yearly one that the local YMCA runs.
