Hey Megan,
I'm Pam. This is my first one too. How old are you? Maybe we can meet up and talk/ freak out about the race on Sat or Sunday. I'm going to the 5:00 course talk at Murphy and I will be wearing a Trichic (Red and Black) trisuit for the race. Good luck!

PS. I am really nervous and excited.

I really shouldn't be racing, but am going to anyway. I'm Kate, I'll be in an Orange Javelin tri-suit with a lot of junk in my trunk Leaving for Sturgeon Bay now. Yay!

Dammit. Well, I'm in Sturgeon Bay. All my family left here for a funeral. My husband was going to be flying in to GB tonight from NY, but is stranded at JFK and missed his connecting flight. All other Green Bay flights this weekend are booked. So I'm stuck all alone before the race. I repeat, dammit. Well, at least Grandma has a working computer with a 14.4 baud modem. Awesome.

Anyhow, I forgot my racebelt. Where can I get one in Sturgeon Bay? I'm guessing that bike shop on 3rd avenue, but I'm kind of chilling out on the lake and don't want to make a meaningless jaunt across 42/57 and risk death with the tourist traffic if that isn't the place. Where do you locals get your supplies?

Hey everyone!
Congrats! Was anyone in the long course bummed about the swim getting cut? It didn't really matter to me because I was short course but I was still surprised to hear it. Does anyone know when the results will get posted online?
Congrats again!

I think all of us were bummed. Most of us didn't think the water was that cold, at least with a wetsuit. Oh well, I still had an awesome time and will be there next year. Sean put on a great race.

Congrats to all who finished, especially the first timers!!

The water was too cold for the long swim. I do think it was too cold for anybody without wetsuits, but with a wetsuit it wasn't bad. We ended up doing the short course swim.

I didn't have a wetsuit because I was a first timer and it was really cold. I am use to swimming at the Y were my water is like 80 degrees. The only thing that made it manageable is I got in about 10 minutes before my wave and froze the bottle half of my body so it wasn't such a huge shock. And even with the cold water I had an awesome swim and placed well. You're right. Sean puts on a great race!

It was fun meeting some of you!

Did anyone succeed on getting detailed results? I just got my overall time and my place. I really want to see if I did as well on the swim as it felt like.

I waved at a lot of you at Carlsville road. I blew out my back tire and realized I had grabbed the wrong size tube in the morning. Had to wait for nearly 20 minutes for SAG and to get a change. After that, I wasn't in the mood to even continue.

All in all, a nice event. Next year - maybe the long course.

I think the cold water makes us swim faster. I was surprised at how fast my swim time was. It felt slow, I think because of the choppy water. I definately think the water was too cold for a long swim without a wetsuit. Its just dissapointing, I am real happy with my bike time and pretty happy with my run time, so it would have been nice to have the full swim to compare this oly to other oly's
