Subject: Maternity Tri Apparel?
I'm looking for recommendations on maternity tri apparel. I'd especially like something to swim laps in, but I'm having trouble finding any maternity swim suits that aren't just made to be cute. Also, I'd love a pair of bike shorts. Any suggestions?

Check out fitmaternity.com.  I got a couple things from them when I was pregnant.  As for a suit, I used a yoga-ish top and regular bikini bathing suit bottoms.  Everything stayed on, but every pregnancy and pregnant body is different.  Good luck!

I loved stuff from Born Fit http://www.bornfit.com/

Theyhad a booth at a cycling event I went to.

I actually borrowed a pair of my husband's bike shorts that worked really well for me.

I got a maternity suit from speedo that was a tankini.  I would probably just try sizing up though as it was better for aqua aerobics than swimming.

Thanks for the suggestions, and thanks for the congrats. I really wish everything didn't have to be so darn expensive. The cheapest maternity swimsuit that looks lap appropriate so far is $63. Not outrageous but not great either. I may just keep swimming in my work out bikini and tell everyone at the pool that they can get over it. Tongue out

Pretty sure my wife had a Speedo brand swimsuit when she was pregnant, but after reading your last post, I'm pretty sure that's about what it cost. That was about 9 years ago, too, so imagine what it would be now...

I swam my way through 2 of my 4 pregnancies, and I always wore a regular bikini (that had a supportive top).  Lots of stares from the old dudes in the next lane when I hit the 8 month mark

Congrats.

I just kept swimming in my normal swim suits through both of my pregnancies.  I usually found an older one a bit stretched out and I was fine.  Toward the end of the pregnancy my streched out suite was a bit too stretched out so I wore a workout bikini under it to support the girls and keep the modisty.

That's what I did -- wore a speedo bikini throughout my pregnancy (wore the bottoms low)
