HED JET 6 on the front. HED JET 9 on the rear with a Wheel Builder disc cover.

Absolutely use a disc! Why wouldn't you?

I did Galveston in a brutal wind with the disc cover and had no issues. I can't imagine the wind for IMTX is going to be anything like Galveston.

No tips, this will be my first IM...scared Surprised

Last year I rode my mavic open pro with disc cover on faired nice on the bike so I am looking to improve this year with a 808/disc from zipp.

Endurance nation has a nice write up on the bike course as well as many of us on the "official IMTX" thread in the Ironman group section.  Be patient on the bike and take it easy on the first part of the run.  It is flat run with section of shade/no breeze and lots of sun/breeze in other sections.  Spectators are great and the waterway will look tempting to jump in during the run.

Oh, the people offering adult drinks from gooses acre during the run is tempting as well.
