Radioshack race tracker rocks the Internet.  Had a very nice video feed, profile is awesome, google map square is good and get to listen to P & P..

Oh yeah,  Liqigas Cannondale have a stud in Peter Sagan.

Saw a portion of the Stage 2 finish tonight.  It was amazing to watch.

Did we complain about the coverage last year, I can't remember but I thought we did.

Seems very low budget this year, you can hear the guys on the motor bike talking, Phil and Paul don't seem to know what is going on half the time (more than usual), the camera angles are all off, today they were focusing on the guy driving the bike instead of the race.

Usually its time related that is annoying, in the past they've go away from a live finish to go to Hockey Pregame or delayed the replay while Hockey went late.

I think last year there was some signal issues because the Helicopters had to be grounded so one stage was not covered.

I work in television production and this years coverage is very poor. Lots of audio issues and picture break up. Doesn't seem like they have a very seasoned team working on this.

That's right it was the camera issue.

I'm happy to have the coverage but it does seem rather slack this year.

Ok race followers, what do you think of this year's ToC?  Seems like the pro race talk has been quiet around here

Sagan has been the man so far, very impressive from the 22 year old, but today's lumpy TT is sure to see him fall from the top of the GC.  I'd like to see him develop into an all rounder, but we'll see where his TT and climbing skills are at in the next few stages.  After he won the first couple stages I was saying (in my head) 'yeah, but it's the ToC and the field isn't that deep and the profile suits him', etc, but 4 stage wins in a row?  Hard to hate on that kind of performance.

Predictions on the day's ITT: Zabriskie (because I'm not betting against him in a US race), Nibali (because of the uphill finish), and then (surprise!) Leipheimer, who loves this race and would like to prove that he's recovered from his crash earlier this year.

Sagan's performance has been remarkable up to now.  The first stage he flats inside the last 5k, bridges the gap back to the peloton almost entirely on his own, and still wins going away.  Stage 4 was the closest thus far, but a win none the less.  Stage 2 and 3...he made it look easy.

I don't follow too much pro cycling outside the big names.  How do you guys think Sagan would fare in the TdF against some of the other big sprinters like Cav?

I agree that the real racing in the ToC begins today.  It will be interesting to see how things shake out.  I think it's also crazy that the tour will end outside the Staples Center on Sunday...and they've got a Hockey and Basketball playoff game at the Staples Center that day too.  Traffic is going to be a mess...LOL.

Nice ride Tejay van Garderen!  Gesink is a legit contender and Tejay needs to mark him closely the rest of the stages, but Big George and the rest of the BMC just needs to keep TVG out of trouble and they have a potential winner on their squad.

I completely overestimated Nibali's TT form...not that I'm upset about it.  And Garmin-Barracuda has a ridiculously good time trialing team this year.  Between their win at the TTT in the Giro and having 3 riders in the top ten today, very impressive work for the argyle.

Garmin Barracuda is definitely having a good year at this point but can they take a win at tour?  They always seem to be right there but can't close the deal.

Sagan was super in the sprint finishes but that TT just kills him.

Due to a local guy that rides for Bontrager-Livestrong U23 I've been following them pretty closely---those young guys have sure been impressive mixing it up with the big boys!!!  It's great to see

Garmin doesn't have a contender for the Tour. Will probably have a Top 10 but that is about it. Their fire power is sitting 2nd at the Giro.

Who saw the naked guy on the road up Mt. Baldy?  I was watching via the RS online streaming and wondered if it got edited out for the TV feed.  Pretty funny stuff.

That was an awesome stage.  Horner's move was pure guts, lots of respect to him.  Jens has been Jensy all week, eating bees and stinging the peloton.  Zabriskie almost looked like he could hang with the select group for a while -- that surprised me -- and then the attacks came.   I was pulling for Tejay to hold Gesink's wheel but it looked like he lost too many teammates and there were two Rabo guys tearing the race apart for Gesink.  Gotta hand it to the Dutchman, he killed it.  Tommy D raced smart and hard all day, vindicating himself IMO after digging a hole on the ITT.

I had to work yesterday but caught the NBC sport replay at midnight---had to see Mt. Baldy especially since Joe Dombrowski (Bontrager Livestrong) finished 4th!!!!  He's a local kid with HUGE climbing talent---Lance himself tweeted after that he called it about Dombrowski at Gilla.  Really a great stage with some huge efforts.

Didn't get to see as much as the coverage as I wanted, but overall I thought it was a great week of racing. I really wanted DZ to win the overall but he just can't climb at the top level. Still a stud against the clock, destroyed the field.

The helicopter noise was killing me in the first several days.  You could barely hear Phil & Paul over the noise.  I guess if anybody could appreciate the crappy audio, it would be you, Todd!
