It is a Trek 1000 with a fairly aggressive position (no spacers etc) minus aero bars. I currently ride in the drops 95% of the time on long rides. I do plan to get some clip ons until I save enough for a tri bike. So, my question is: does this fit help me know what tri bike options may be best to look into? Trek, Cervelo, Felt, etc? Just wanna narrow the field of options if possible.

Not exactly. A good guess would be that Trek should be a starting point when you start looking though. Obviously your fit will be very different on a tri bike though, hence the not exactly...

Also, about adding clip ons.... get a pair of shortie (ITU) bars. If your road bike fits that well, you don't want to start messing it the fit just to fit a pair of aero bars...

Road and tri fit can be very different, so it's tough to narrow the field based on your current road position.  My advice would be to get fit for the aero position on a fit bike, and the coordinates from that will give you stack and reach numbers that will help you narrow the frame choices.

Huh...I was not aware of a fit bike. Sounds like a great way to approach finding the right frame. I was thinking whatever bike shop I went into would try to push the brand or two they carried. I will do some homework on my bike shops and see what approach they take. Thanks for the replies!
