I need to get some longer rides in to prepare for SOMA in October.  What's a good 50 mile ride in the Gilbert/Mesa area?  I live by Recker & Ray, and taken that to Ellsworth and back, and that's about 40, but I was hoping for something with less hills just to get better distance in.  Any ideas?

A little longer than you need, buy you could just go out and back one way?  If you start off Hunt Highway/Arizona Ave and head counter-clockwise, you won't hit a light of a looong time.

Try looking into hopping on Queen Creek and heading west to the casino's, then cut over to Pecos heading west to the end of Pecos and then coming back.

Ditto on the previous post.  Take Queen Creek west over I-10.  Then take the very first right and you'll be on the casino road.  You can take that to Pecos and loop on that.  You'll get plenty of miles if you start from your house!!!

Thanks guys!  That'll for sure be my next long ride!  The ride I did yesterday was leave from Recker and Ray, North to Guadalupe, West to Gilbert, North to McDowell, East to Power, North to Bush HWY and over to Usery, then headed South on Usery all the way to Ray and then home.  50 miles and it felt great!  Only my second 50 mile ride so far, but I LOVE the climb on Usery back home.
