Live Strong

I got one when I did the Austin Half Marathon.  I don't wear it though, it sits in a drawer with a bunch of other bracelets from different events sponsoring various foundations.  

I remember a time when you saw them everywhere, I see them less and less now.  

I have worn mine everyday for 5 years now?

I wore one when I was dealing with cancer.  It was given to me by a friend who wore it while he was going through it a year before (and beat it).  I wore it until it broke off and I was cured as well.

I have a few boxes of them ! be glad to send you one.

I'm racing Hawaii 70.3 this coming saturday for LIVESTRONG.

This is in honor of my Dad who passed away in '09 from lung cancer, and also for friends that currently are fighting cancer.

I'm stoked that I might get a chance to meet the man himself!

I've worn one for eight years now.  My father died of renal cell cancer in June 2004 and I bought a couple hundred to give out at his memorial service.  My FIL died of pancreatic cancer two years later.  Very personal thing for me.

I'm probably on my 5th or 6th one.  I've learned to take it off when I swim at the pool since the chlorine breaks them down.
