Sounds like a great clinic! I passed it on to a friend who's doing her first tri this weekend.

I'll be there swimming

We're hoping to get there at around 6pm - providing the Kiddo is in a good mood.  I'm REALLY looking forward to doing some laps where I can swim longer than 25 yards between turns.

Is Megan going to hang out on the beach while you swim?   If so, warn her I will be looking for her so I can fawn over the baby.

Anyone going to be there tonight?  I am rather out of shape and can only do one lap (or maybe one and a half), but would love to swim with others.  I could get there about 6pm or so.

Look for a tall guy with really short cut hair arriving a bit late then.  Hope to see you there.

Went out there yesterday and it was a blast.

Did anyone measure the 'course' with their 910xt? I saw an earlier post of 600 yds, but curious what other BT were getting.

How many laps did y'all do?

I had the fitness to do one lap.  I was having a lot of fun and wanted to do more, but that would have been unwise.

I'll be there on the early end of things.  Hopefully traffic will be on my side and I can be feet-wet by 5:30.  I'll be the guy in the Xterra full suit...at least for the first lap or two (gotta get some wetsuit time in).

I just swam at nokomis today.  temp was good.  But i have to say, what is up with the water quality?  Is it due to the lack of rain we have had this summer?  I literally could not see my hand in the water, while swimming.  yikes.

Too bad this program is done for the year (last week was final time), but the guard I stopped to talk to last Tues said they too were hoping/pushing for it to come back next season.  Fingers crossed!

I didn't notice a decline in murkiness / clarity over the summer, but maybe you're right...  Assuming the lake/river is cleared for swimming by the proper authorities, I only get concerned about water quality if the water smells funky & swampy.

Nokomis can get that way late in the season if there's not much rain, and although we haven't much regular rainfall, I think we've had enough high-volume rainfalls to keep that at bay.

No doubt this has been a great program, and I really hope to see it return next year!

Cheers, Chris
