I've lost a bit of weight and am now on the very lowest end of my wetsuit fitting measurements.  I was considering heading up to Cochiti to give it a test run before my next race.  Is there anything I need to know about swimming at Cochiti? hours? areas? cautions?

ETA: Is that the closest/best place from Albuquerque?

It is the closest/best as far as I know. The hours are dawn to 6pm I think. The water was a great temp when I was there about a week ago.

The OWSwimmers usually start at the left side (looking at the water from the beach) of the beach.  There are a handful of buoys that are further out from the swim beach floating barrier. The mark the no-boat zone. If you start at the beach and follow the buoys to the second to last one (skipping the one close to the rocks on the dam) you'll do about a half mile.
