Good luck to all of you racing Saturday.  I wanted to be out there with you this year, but my body had other plans this time around.

Sorry to hear it Dave, heal up and come back next year.

Looks like the weather is shaping up to be almost absolutely perfect.  I say almost, as the winds currently forecasted to start about race time from the NW, swinging slowly around by 10 to 11 to a WSW....  in other words, in our face the whole time.  Luckily, they're only forecast to be 2 - 4.  But *should* be a non issue on the backside.

On the run should be a nice little seabreeze off the water.  It's pretty amazing though on Pacific even a block in, where the houses block the wind it's noticeably warmer.

Water temps at San Clemente reported at 61.  Expect 60 in the Harbor.  Perfecto.

Anyone checking in today?   How do the shirts look?

Going to check in soon. Going to have lunch and then head over.

I made a sign! I'm at the turnaround on Breakwater. "Honk if you can see it?"...lol...Up in one of the windows...I will see if I can see it when I go out.

I'll be wearing my TeamFC kit, blue and white. There will be about 20 TeamFC'ers racing Oceanside this year. I'm Bib 2639.

I'm heading down tomorrow for check in and spend some $$ on stuff! Driving down early on race morning as I live in Orange County. I'm planning on arriving around 5:15am...anyone who's done this before think that is early enough?

Thanks!

ChrisM - 2013-03-28 2:14 PM   Not sure I am going to remember what everyone is wearing though!

Maybe we need a secret BT Tattoo, hand-signal, or codeword.

If you think someone is from BT, you say, "Love that sweet BT Pace Booty" if you get slapped, they are not one of us. Even more awkward given the number of guys...

I am, of course, open to other ideas.

Going to check in in an hour or two with my two kids.

Then, we will meet up with my wife for dinner at the Sunset Market open air market.

Good street food trucks.

This pic is about a year old.

Oh yeah, and Bib 2526.

I may be easier to find based on the people saying, "Holy Crap! He thinks that he is going to finish!"

Hey, I am down to 237.

I weighed 247 for the Carlsbad Marathon.

I was told that the main event page has a tracking option on race day.

It is somewhere earlier in the thread.

This site will have a live now tab on race day.  http://www.ironman.com/triathlon/events/ironman-70.3/california.aspx#axzz2OlXdTR2b

The irontrac app also works, I am using that.

This is me, I was trying to find a kit and sending pics to my stylist wife for judgment approval comment

bad91 - 2013-03-26 5:22 PM right on Padstack!!!!  If i remember correctly arent we bother Norwegians????   and yes, you will do great on Saturday.  Let me know if you have any other questions!!

You remember correctly! Thanks for the advice. Getting anxious to get down there tomorrow and get all the race stuff. Thinking I may go watch the new GIJoe movie tomorrow afternoon after I check-in and get some souvenirs. Need something to keep my mind off the 70.3 miles I have to tackle on Saturday.

Bib #1113. Black Pearl Izumi shorts and probably a plain red Pearl Izumi tri-top. Since it will probably be chilly when we get on the bike, I will probably pick-up some arm warmers. Would anyone recommend putting on a bike jersey?
