I am bib 495 will be wearing black desoto shorts and my Endurance Nation Red/White top.  Wave #4 this year so I hopefully won't have to deal with the head winds as last year I was almost last and the headwinds were awful.  Good Luck everyone!

PADSTACK-  i rode last year in a tri top, you will be cold for the first few minutes but you will be fine after that.  Lots of people do ride with a cycle jersey. Your call.

#2356-  Blue Volt Multisport Tri Kit with white Volt visor,  Still a damn clydesdale.  I am also affiliated with California Triathlon and may wear the Cal Tri bike jersey for that portion of the race.

Even though i am starting 6 minutes ahead of ChrisM, he will be passing  me at the 200 yard mark.

weiky - 2013-03-28 2:24 PM What is the best way to have family track you? I know there are some apps out there but i don't know what to tell family/friends to use to track me and my wife on Saturday. Thanks!

I was told that the main event page has a tracking option on race day.

It is somewhere earlier in the thread.

This site will have a live now tab on race day.  http://www.ironman.com/triathlon/events/ironman-70.3/california.aspx#axzz2OlXdTR2b

The irontrac app also works, I am using that.

Uh, no more Clydesdale eh?  Man, what are you weighing now, 160?  Dang Chris, you're looking downright lean and mean now.  Nice job.

Swag :3 The drawstring bag is pretty sweet.  The race shirt is meh, but their merchandise booth is deadly... for my credit card.

I had a dream I picked up my bike to take it to the car and it all fell apart leaving just the saddle and handlebars with the front wheel hanging off in my hands. Even the front tire came off, LOL. Perhaps this is from my bike shop actually taking my bike apart during the tuneup and removing a spacer because the fork is too short and the headset kept coming loose. "You won't even notice." LOL. Put it on the trainer and it should be fine. I hope. . I am not all that sensitive to minor position changes but I will admit its not idealOh they also moved my A2 setup around. Had to take it apart and put it back together.

What did you do in the dream? Did you put the bike back together? Before IMLP I had a dream I stopped half way through the run. I ended up going back to finish the course because I felt like a quitter. Haha

I ride the portion of Vandergrift Blvd after you take a right off of Basilone at mile 45ish(you know, the part that is ALWAYS windy) on CPEN just about every day on my commute to and from work.  On the ride in this morning I saw street sweepers out getting the road all nice and clean for you folks. I'm pretty stoked about it not just because you guys should have nice clean roads, but I will also have a clean, debris free ride back to the train station today!

Sure this has been covered but this time of year a westerly wind picks up around 10am everyday, so you'll have to deal with that for a few miles. Speed varies, but usually about 10mph. But once you turn right off of Vandergrift and head back over the 5 you'll be pretty protected all the way into T2.

Hoping all you guys have a great race.  I have done this race for the past two years but it was sold out by the time I got around to registering this year, so I'm jealous of all of you. This is one of the few opportunities to ride the back hills of CPEN. Have fun and be safe!

Hey, thanks to whomever I heard cheering the kids on!Of course, I neglected to note that my daughter decided to be a last minute entry. So my son ran ahead, an my daughter kept looking for her brother every time someone yelled his name.I do apologize to whomever I corrected; my tone wasn't nearly as gracious as it should have been. Thanks!

BIKE BIB. Hey am I suppose to have my bib on my back through the bike portion? I thought the girl at reg. told me that but then I read the packet and there was no mention. only mention about the run.

Can anyone confirm?

Yup. On the bike the bib should be worn to the back. Easy if you have a race belt and can just turn it around. If you are pinning it to a bike jersey then you can pin to the back and then pin to the front of your running shirt--that's why they provide 2 race bibs in the package for people who want to change outfits. Overall though I've never seen a big fuss been made. Just easier for the officials to spot with on the back for the bike and front for run.
