Looks like a good turnout and perfect weather. Best of luck to all. Keep an eye on the road. Some areas of Baltimore have less than smooth roads. I saw
a woman step in a pothole at the half marathon a couple of years ago. It was heartbreaking to see her go down.

I'll be there. I'll be rolling in my orange Lifetime jersey and hat.  If you see a speedy girl dressed the same, that'll be my Mrs.  If you see us, give a hey.   Good Luck!

Lots of runners! I didn't expect so big of a race! Really liked it, although having the last two miles uphill is just sort of mean Yell

How did you guys do??

Trishie - You posted at 9:30, less than two hours after the start? Either you live at the zoo, you're good with your thumbs on a mobile, or blew me away! I get what you say about the hills, but I have to say, in comparison to the 3 or 4 Annapolis 10 Milers I've run, I would take today's course any day. Although I felt the up hills, I also enjoyed the down hills at different places on the course. At the A-10, the only down hill I seem to enjoy is dropping into Old T during mile 2; that's not when I need it. (I'm sure today's weather was a factor, too.)I started in the second real wave though I could have been in wave one. This was great because after I cleared the first doven rows, the course really opened up as I ran toward wave one. I never felt boxed in at any time during the race. Even for a race this size I'm used to getting boxed in at some point, especially in the turns. I know the wide roads helped a great deal, but I was relally surprised at how opened it seemed to be.My focus this year is to run long as I was succesful in getting into the JFK 50 Miler in November. I have not been doing any speed or deliberate interval work so you can imagine my pleasant surprise with a 1:20:17. What a change last year when I had repeated clf issues that kept me on the bench the entire season.I'll definately run this race again. My next stop this year is in July. The Mrs. and I are making a couple of trips across the Golden Gate Bridge in the SF Half Mary!

This was my first race last year, my first race since I decided I was going to get somewhat sorta serious about not being a fat lazy couch dweller. So I had to do it again this year to see how my fitness compared. I hoped to take 10 minutes off...

I'm not sure I like all the changes to the course this year (compared to last): To me, coming over that bridge and climbing back to the zoo (last year) was a great finish. This year, to do that, alms see the finish line, and then have that lollipop loop to do still - dislike.

Still, a nice improvement from last year (says more about what a year of semi-consistent training will do than anything special about my training this year). A 12-minute PR, and I'll be back next year!

Wanna - You dislike the course with a time like that?!  Not only were you speedy, you pulled it of in the midst of what looks like a great season.  Kudos to the range of events and your success.  With a PR like that, you've got to feel good even with the "lollipop" at the end.

Runa,

I'm thrilled with my time. But I thought it was just mean. I came up that hill, thinking I was near the end, and oh, wait, where are we going now?

As for PRs - well, they're almost all PRs at this point. Benefits of being a fat@$$ up until a year ago or so. Still working on that a bit.

Your kind words are absolutely appreciated.
