You mean I'm SUPPOSED to put on other clothes after I get nekkid??? Might improve my swim times. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm nah, I swim better nekkid. I need that rudder effect to keep me swimming straight |

Extreme Veteran 694 New Haven, CT | Subject: RE: gym locker room nekkidness Well, I shower and change in the private rooms provided. And, when I've belonged to an open plan gym, I get 'er done efficiently, but, yes, I naked up. I am peeved at the women who, for some reason, insist on showering WITH THE CURTAIN OPEN and blow-drying starkers with their butts on the stools. That's just exhibitionism, and it's rude. It's not that I think my bits are special or made of candy or anything, it's just that modesty is a good thing. |

Expert 660 state of denial | Subject: RE: gym locker room nekkidness hold on. i have no problem being nekkid. i have been nekkid at the beach, in the pool, in my car...the usual places. But there is no reason for personal maintenance to take place in a semi-public area. when you go to a nude beach, you dont see people acting inappropriate, they are just without clothes. |

Are the seven of you ashamed of your own nekkidness or is it that you shower at home? Chucky, what she's asking is...do you PARADE AROUND AND PERFORM DISGUSTING PERSONAL MAINTENANCE in the locker room, or do you make an honest effort to cover with a towel when wandering around? For example, I am clearly nekkid when I take my gym clothes off. I wrap in a towel and go to the shower area. I remove towel and take a shower. I dry off and re-towel before returning to my locker. Any hygene (shaving, etc.) I make every effort to be toweld as I "hang" around the sink area doing these tasks. I return to my locker when complete. I un-towel and get dressed. Am I nekkid? Yes. Did I answer yes to nekkid in this poll? Yes. Do I approve of the guy I saw standing buck nekkid at the end of a row of lockers blow drying his azz? NOOOOOOOOOO sir, I do not. That is bad nekkid and should be banned. I think The original question was asked a bit poorly but the underlying theme of the thread is...please...people, remember to keep your disgusting nekkid habits to yourself at home, and practice good common sense nekkid when in the locker room. |

Champion 6285 Beautiful Sonoma County | Subject: RE: gym locker room nekkidness The towel-dance folks crack me up. Seriously. I mean, I'm not waving my "bits" about... but I'm not going to wrap my clean towel around my sweaty self just to walk to the shower. It's not a matter of modesty or immodesty... I ain't got anything anyone else in there ain't got. If you don't like what you see, don't look. Funny, though, in the locker room/showers at the school where I take my swimming class, you can tell who the athletes are: they're the ones standing in the shower, washing whatever part needs to be washed, while chatting loudly with someone who is washing their own dirty bits. |

With a 36" waist, I'm going to have a hard time wrapping the 32" towels my gym provides around anything. Not going to even try, just for the sake of the few prudes who think I should be covering up on my way to the shower. Well put, K, I'm not going to flaunt it, but I ain't going out of my way to cover myself in a men's locker room. |

There are two issues: 1. I don't like to get nekkid. 2. I don't like it when others are nekkid. And some would add: 3. I don't like it when The Bear is nekkid. I understand #2, you don't like it when other people are nekkid around you. But I don't understand #1 as you either stink or you shower at home. As for #3, well I'm glad I'm in CA. |

Subject: RE: gym locker room nekkidness How about nekkid in the hot tub? Or nearly.... come on down to Spectrum in Redondo, there's an old dude who occasionally goes to the pool hot tub..... with his ba!! sack prominently a swingin a'neath his shorts...... He's really really old, so he has no clue, but it's freaking hilarious and disgusting at the same time |

Champion 34263 Chicago | Subject: RE: gym locker room nekkidness I'm emotionally disturbed by some of the posts in this thread. People don't really groom themselves at the gym do they? That's just frickin' disgusting. I'm all about manscaping but c'mon!!! That said I am of the "I-Love-To-Be-Nekkid" School. I really enjoy it in certain places but I'm certainly no parader. I work out at the Y so there's always old men and kids running through the locker room so I'm especially efficient at being nekkid as little as possible. In fact if there's kids around I get nervous because I don't know the rules with kids and being naked and stuff like that. |

Elite 3020 Bay Area, CA | Subject: RE: gym locker room nekkidness I agree with madkat. My swimming pool has a common shower area and locker area. People undress, shower, walk nekkid and dripping to their stuff, towel off, get dressed, and etc. Most people are just doing their thing, washing their bits and getting on with their life. There are one or two who do the gratuitous nekkidness. On the other hand, I see in this thread that one person's regular nekkid changing and etc. is another's gratuitous letting it all hang out and "ewww." Don't know if I'm on the gratuitous side or not, but I've come to think that wafting myself into a changing room and into my private shower, all the while carefully wrapping my towel around myself so that no one else sees my nekkid bits is a waste of energy and time. I think there's a definite level of "Oh yeah, that is gross" that everyone can agree on, (ergo, woman, cell phone, grooming self) but there is a big area in between that is fine for some and offensive to others.

Expert 783 South Bend, IN | Subject: RE: gym locker room nekkidness I am sure that everbody has noticed that the people that are thinner, fewer flaps, etc, are the ones who change and are gone, but the people that look like the michelin man seem to parade around exposing their "girth." Gross. I am constantly telling guys that they have to wear a swim suit in th jacuzzi. Their response is that itt is no difference, and I really do not want to be in a hot tub with a nekkid guy(s). WOuld ruin my political aspirations! lol.
What about the guy who porps his foot on the counter an duses the hair dryers to dry his *** and ball hair! That is SO WRONG!!! |
