For the happy owners of the 910xt: Just wanted to share this tip with you: Enable swim alerts:

Mode -> Training -> Swim alerts -> Distance Alert -> On / set your desired distance.

Gives a sound when you reach your lap distance. It's not very loud you may miss it if you're busy listening to your bubbles.

It's great if you find it difficult to keep count of laps and don't want to look at the watch all the time, or if you're swimming OWS with no buoys to mark a set course.

BR, Erik

Wow I feel a bit slow not thinking of this my self!!!  I constantly swim 50m less than what I'm supposed to on my intervals 450 out of 500 or 950 out of 1000 to the point I always swim an extra 50 just in case.  Last night after my swim I was trying to think of a way to keep track of my laps!  Thanks for the tip!!!

Change the alert to Vibrate and you don't have to listen for it...

I swim with a stationary swimmer in my home pool and set my alert to time. Gives me a good indication of set length seeing as how i'm not really going anywhere.
