Great job beating the odds, heard they had like 90,000 entrants this year for, what, 30,000 slots? Mama bear and I passed this year due to babysitter issues, but would certainly like to try it in the future!

ANyone-

I checked and have "lottery" next to my name.  Does that mean I'm in?  I've never gotten accepted before and for the past 2 years I've seen th word "rejected" by my name so I'm not sure what that means.

I tired to get to the website again and didn't have luck- it's probably really busy.  From what I remember from the past 2 years, you'll either have "accepted" or "rejected" next to your name.  I'm wondering since results are available at 11am if they are still updating the database.  I noticed hardly any people had "rejected" by their names which is weird.  Either "lottery" or "accepted" showed up.

I'm not that anxious to find out.  Reason being is that I'll have to defer to 2008 because it's the day after IM FL and I won't be able to run it.  Even if I don't get in I'm guaranteed entry for next year.  If I'm rejected again this will be my 3rd year in a row getting rejected.  After your 3rd consecutive year of rejection they finally let you in

Yeah - I just want to know so I can finally figure out my Fall race schedule.  This is the week I set to finalize my Fall HIM and marathon.

I registered for MCM as well. If I get in NYC, I am undecided which race I will run (or maybe both).  I just want to know..........

It's so hard to plan.  And what's worse is that it's hard to plan to run it with friends because you don't know if everyone will  get in or not!

Maybe I could be wrong and I am not in. I figured that when I put in my name and it came up that meant that I was in. I was figuring they would not have put the others in. Good luck to all.

I was figuring lottery meant that I was in through the lottery and the people who had accepted were accepted by other ways.

Ok- I didn't get in  for the 3rd year.

Isn't that a good thing? Now you don't have to pay the full entry fee just to defer, AND you have guaranteed entry for next year.

You will be fine.  Just add a little distance to your long runs for your HIM training.  Most marathon plans don't have you doing more than 15 miles until 8 - 10 weeks out.

See you at MCM, which looks like will be 7 weeks after my first HIM!

You'll be fine, just may take additional planning to get you through the cycle of peak mileage/taper/raceHIM/recovery/peak mileage/taper/racemarathon. I'm now looking at a marathon six weeks after my first HIM, so I'm facing a similar challenge on a shorter time frame.

Yeah- it's better for that reason.  But I still have a complex about being rejected 3 times in a row
