Subject: Swim Coach in OKC
I used to swim competitively when I was younger. Now I am wanting to go back into the sports. I will be a the University of Oklahoma this fall and am looking for a swim coach to help me get back to where I was. To help out with my form and my stamina.

I would like to find a private coach that has credentials behind them. I am not a wannabe swimmer so I would like to have some good formal training.

Can't help you with the coach.

Are you looking to get into swim shape or start doing tris?

Start doing Tris. I swam from age 7-16, then due to a torn ACL playing baseball had to stop for awhile and now am wanting to get back into shape as well as do some tris and swim meets.

Awesome, I ran growing up and switched over. This is my last year at OU and I'm planning on trying to go to regionals in the spring. There isn't really a tri team or I haven't found one, but instead it's mixed in with the cycling group.

What you need might be tough to find in Oklahoma. There are plenty of swim coaches around, but if you were a competitive swimmer for that long, it sounds like you need to visit one of the places that has a nationally recognized coach with video analysis (there's one here in Denver).

I'll be back in Oklahoma from mid-sept to end of October and I can take a look at your form, but most likely it is fine and you just need to swim a bunch to get your body position and strength back. Where I can certainly help tho is some tri-specific swim workouts along with a solid swim-bike-run structure that works for you.
