Swim
Comments: Windy and Waves - I think average times were about 4 mins slower then last year. Heard the words of "survival" and "brutal" ... the sailor in me rejoiced about the wind and the waves - for swimming is was not really easy. Had about the same swim time as last year which actually means I did well given the conditions. What would you do differently?: don't know Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Pretty windy - didn't really get into a good rhythm. Also - like last year - back started hurting at around mile 20 What would you do differently?: Need to tinker with bike setup a bit more Transition 2
Comments: Couldn't find my parking spot Run
Comments: Best Olympic distance run ever in a tri ... was only 30 seconds faster in a standalone training run. Very happy (still slow but improving) .... Would have been able to go faster if not for cramping starting after the first mile. Seems that there is something to the whole "increase cadence with smaller steps" thingy ... was 5 minutes faster than last year What would you do differently?: Need to figure out how to stop cramping Post race
Warm down: CRASH down - eat, drink, and be merry ... What limited your ability to perform faster: cramping on the run and back pain on the bike Last updated: 2012-01-06 12:00 AM
