Hi guys and gals,

Looking at a CD0.1 L with a 56 TT and a 14cm head tube at 72deg and I am worried that the head tube will be too short for me. The nearest shop that stocks em' is 4 hours away one way. Long drive if it won't fit.

my measurements

Inseam:                 34.75 in
Trunk:                  25.5 in
Forearm:                15 in
Arm:                    28.12 in
Thigh:                  24.62 in
Lower Leg:              22.25 in
Sternal Notch:          59 in
Total Body Height:      71.90 in

Any one with cd01 fit experience?

Thanks, Dave

I've got the CD0.1 L so I'll check my measurements tonight and see how they compare to you.   I'm 6'2" so considering I'm a little taller I would think you'll be ok.  I bought mine used and the previous owner had cut the steerer tube down to fit with no spacers.  I'm still able to get a half inch spacer in there.  As long as the steerer tube hasn't been cut way down like mine you should be able to set it higher if needed.  I ended up using some risers that are available for my aerobars to get myself up a little higher as my original position was a bit too agressive.

Thanks! I used to be 6'2" but years of abuse ,compressed spine WW kayaking, (damn waterfalls) and heavy backpacks have reduced my height leaving me even more long legged and short trunked.

I'll be getting it off the shelf with a fitting so I'll have plenty of tube. I'm an agressive rider on my current bike so I can handle a pretty deep drop. I just want room to come up to a more comfortable position when I do half/full irons.

It seems like everyone I know got a QR from Kompetitive Edge here in Denver this year.  Most everyone got the CD0.1 or the illicito.  I am a little over 6 foot with similar measurements to you..but I do not ride agressively at all.  In fact I was fit before hand and then the fitter and I went through a bunch of bikes and brands and came up with the QR Lucero as one of the only bikes with a tall enough head tube to fit me..and ...which fits me great.  I would not have been able to ride the other QRs since the head tubes are much shorter and desigend for more agressive riding..

Maybe call Ryan at Kompetitive Edge for some help or he may be able to refer you to some one.  Like I said they sold a ton of QRs this year.

Silly thought.... if you're buying off the shelf, and you have your measurements, maybe call the guy that will be pulling it down off the rack and doing the fitting?

Greeting fellow Clevelander, I did. Called several fitters. Different answers. Looking for other riders opinions. I am often distrustful of people selling stuff. Call me cynical. How'd u like that 1 point loss yesterday?

As to be expected... you're asking a question that is impossible to answer. Without a bike fit, they are just guessing, might be a qualified guess but a guess none the less. This is why you get a bike fit first and then buy the bike that fits you.

Yeah but 8+ hours of driving at 4 bucks a gallon is a lot to find out " nope it don't fit partner" call me crazy but I'd like to avoid 100 bucks in gas if it's a no go.

So you rather spend $2k+ on a bike that may or may not fit? If it doesn't, you'd lose much more than $100 on the resale... But hey, your money..

Obviously if it doesn't fit I won't buy it!! Duh. I would rather not waste a day and 100+ on gas for nothing. Just looking for personal experience of others in my size with a fit experience to help me decide whether or not to make the drive. I am interested in the CD0.1 as an option. If it won't work I will be buying a P2 at my local shop, great place.(half an hour away). 100 bucks my be nothing to some. I know its a rich guy sport but some of us don't have money to burn. 120 bucks buys me a three day climbing trip to Seneca. From now on please only constructive and helpful post please. Let's play nice, no patronizing. Kinda weird, I climb in NH all the time and you folks are usually so nice and helpful. If its not helpful don't post. Just hoping to benefit from others experience. Thanks in advance for info....

That's exactly my point, I'm actually trying to help you. Height is a very poor measurement of bike fit. You can take 3 people of exactly the same height, one will fit a large of brand A, the second needs an extra large of brand A, and the third doesn't fit at all on brand A, but a 57 from brand B is excellent.

OK, I understand and thank you. I am looking for other's experience at my build not to determine if I will buy or not but if I will travel for a fitting to determine if I will buy. I know u can't fit online or over the phone. If most say it didn't fit then P2 it is. Have a good one and Thanks for your input!

Forearm:                15 in
Arm:                    28.12 in
Thigh:                  24.62 in
Lower Leg:              22.25 in
Sternal Notch:          59 in
Total Body Height:      71.90 in

Any one with cd01 fit experience?

Thanks, Dave

Here are my measurements:

Inseam:                35.0 in
Trunk:                   26.4 in
Forearm:               14.0 in
Arm:                      26.4 in
Thigh:                    21.7 in
Lower Leg:            23.2 in
Sternal Notch:       59.8 in
Total Body Height: 73.5 in

Height, inseam, and sternum notch were from my fit which was done after I got the bike.  The other stuff I measured myself beforehand.  I think he did some other measurements when determining position, but didn't write it all down, or just used me and the bike to figure position.  He measured forearm also, but did it to the wrist and the number above is holding a marker in my hand and measuring to that.

Where are you located?  I saw you mentioned something about Cleveland and also NH.  I'll be in Ohio in a week and a half for the Deer Creek race.
