Glad you're still streaking, Ron!

I am still at it, today was day 972 with 9.2 hot steamy miles. I was camping for 5 day so I was unplugged, no electronics at all and it was great, all that time and then busy after camping with work and family stuff. Glad to see everyone is still going strong especially ImSore. Wow you are killing it training, I sure hope it translates to great results in you upcoming race.

Glad to have you back. I feel confident with the bike and run, I've trained pretty hard. The swim I have some concern about. I've put in about the same volume as last year. I want to get out of the water in no greater than 1:20. I'll try to cram some swimming in the time I have left. I should be able to manage provided there isn't anything unexpected.

#638-2 mi after 125 mi bike in 90+ degree heat with 7800 ft elevation gain (my all time longest ride)

#639- 10 mi progression, ran late didn't get done until 10pm, it took a lot of mental effort to get started, but it actually went well. I finished the last 2 miles just under 7 min/mi (6:59). Suffered through a 3 k swim earlier. My calves keep cramping about 2500 yds in to my swims.

Day 974 with a 20.3 mile run. I am swimming for a team in an adventure race next weekend, 2.8 miles in a lake, and swam the route yesterday in some tough conditions. Very windy into us with a lot of chop, I managed but it took me 1 hour and 51 minutes. That is about 30 minutes longer than I would've liked but it was close to being the toughest conditions I had ever been swimming in. It probably did not help that it was only my third swim of the year. Nothing like waiting to the last minute to train. I also ran 8 miles just prior to the swim yesterday.

Imsore, wow 125 miles with lots of hills. I sure you will crush the run and bike. Hopefully you will pr your swim as well.

Wednesday - #360 - 2 mile run, and then 1 mile walk. I had biked a 15 mile loop beforehand. This was one of these days when I just didn't have it. Took off on the bike and kept my HR fairly low for most of the ride, ended up being a good mile per hour slower than normal. On the run, I wasn't sweating nor breathing hard nor feeling sore or tired legs, but something about me just was struggling to go on even at my easy pace. I got to 2 miles and then just walked on home, figuring I must need some kind of break.

Thursday - #361 - 4 miles of speed work, and then 1500y in the pool. Felt much better running this time. The swim was kind of worthless, but oh well.

Hoping to get in a decent run this afternoon, and then I take off with a buddy to go on a short trip to see a Jimmy Buffett concert tomorrow night. I'll get a run in tomorrow morning too before we leave for the tailgate.

#640- 2 mi run, after 20 mi bike, after 4 k swim. Swim went pretty well actually. Main set 30 x 100 yd on 1:55. Not bad for me. I was coming in just under 1:40 for each rep. I considered dropping to repeat on 1:50 but I wasn't sure if I had it for the long set. Maybe next week I'll do the same workout on 1:50. Bike was terrible, knee hurt, and just tired. Dropped from 40 mi planned to 20 mi after I just didn't have it. Got the 2 mi in for the streak, but I was toast.

#641- 5 mi. Taking today as a pseudo-recovery day. Did a bit of a progression to just stretch the legs out. Heading to NYC with my wife for the weekend. Going to a Yankee game, out for dinner, and then will hit a few craft beer bars. Will probably head out to Central Park and do my long run tomorrow with all the Sunday morning runners out there provided I don't overdo it tonight. Should be fun with all the company.

Have fun at the concert, and have a good weekend all.

Friday - #362 - 2 miles pretty hard - felt surprisingly good. Easily my fastest training run recently. Then drove to Detroit and had a few beers and stayed up until 3:30AM.
Saturday - #363 - 2 miles pretty slow. Didn't feel hungover at all, but my body was too sore and my running path over here felt like it was all uphill. Seriously about 2.5 minutes slower than Friday's run. Oh well. Off to tailgate for the Buffett concert.

Congrats on 365, and 366! You would be golden even if it was a leap year.

#642- 17.5 mi. Fun run through NYC. Ran from One World Trade center, up along the Hudson, looped around Central Park, and back down to lower Manhattan. There were so many runners too. I was coming off my highest volume training week of the year, and I cruised. Ran past the Statue of Liberty and the Intrepid, there was so much to see that the miles just few by.

#643- 2 mi after solid 4k swim workout.

#644- 2 mi again, took it easy, knee a bit sore after solid 40 mile ride. Starting my run taper this week. Will cut down 20% to about 40 miles for the week.

#647- 7.5 mi solid progression, legs coming back. Off to swim!

I'm in for August. Just getting back into it, so I started with a 20 minute trail run with the puppy.

Welcome aboard! It'll be nice to have a female streaker. Just watch out, this is addictive.

Wednesday - #367 - 2 miles after 18 holes of golf and then 13 miles on the bike
Thursday - #368 - 2 miles before a quick 1K swim
Friday - #369 - 2 very hungover miles. Thursday evening was a lot of beers and shots, and I realized that I never ate anything after lunch. Oooops. Rough morning, but I think the run actually helped once I convinced myself to do it.

#648- 5 mi, (2 mile warm up, 2 mi threshold, 1 mi cool down). Legs still stiff and heavy, but knocking off 10 miles from this weeks run training has got some life back in them.

Yesterday was day 983 for me and I was on a team in the annual Tango Adventure race here in town. I did the 2.8 mile swim and 4.8 mile run for the team I was on yesterday. What a great bunch of guys. They are all over 60 and this was their first time doing this race and most of them it was the first time they have done anything athletic in many years getting ready for the race. They all did great, one ran the half marathon, on did the 20 mile bike ride some asphalt and some rough dirt roads but lots of climbing, two of them did the orienteering, and two of them did the 8+ mile canoe trip. We did not set any records but had a great time. I was the kid on the team at almost 52. I did not have my best swim but did get it done in 1 hour 21 minutes and some change and got the run done in 34:42. I was hoping for a minute faster but it was very hot and humid in the afternoon when I had to run.

Of course we had a great time drink beer after the race and planning to do it again next year.

Nice race. Solid swim. 2.8 in 1:21 is cruising. Nice job.
