Subject: RE: Rev3 Anderson 70.3 bike course It really wasn't marked that well the day of the race either. There were signs up but I doubt everyone followed the course correctly. The first half has so many twist and turns it is ridiculous plus the roads changes names in bizarre places. It is not a good course to ride without closing part of 178 anyway. The second half coming back from Pendleton is not bad but again the stretch on 178 is not safe. FWIW, I think the final marking of the course was done the day before the race with water soluble paint the day before the race. I drove around the course on Sat and saw a fair number of REV3 trucks that appeared to be painting and clearing the road. Don't read this as a criticism of the race as it is an overall well done race but it does need police support to keep it safe There are also marks on the road from other charity rides and races that make it a bit confusing Edited by pschriver 2012-09-18 8:36 PM
