Run
Comments: I probably should have started a bit further forward as it took a few minutes until we started moving. Chip time was 01:48:15 so it was about 44 seconds till I got to the start line. I worked at keeping the pace consistent and tried not to let it drop off too much at the end of the race. I was fairly successful with this, the first miles were faster but they are also mostly down hill with a tail wind and it was only about a 15 second a mile increase coming back with the rollers and head wind. I enjoyed the run, lots of spectators along the course, many moved from location to location as I saw a lot of the same signs over and over. Funniest thing was a guy playing trombone while his dog howled beside him. I think I did a pretty good job of getting water and gatorade at the stations, took a gel about half way. Never felt dehydrated, What would you do differently?: Nothing specific for this race since it wasnt an A race. It is really a nice course for the half, maybe I should think about doing the full sometime and do it as an A race. Post race
Warm down: After finishing I grabbed a little post race food, then came out and found Dud. We went to breakfast at Denny's. Event comments: Fleetfeet/Yellowjacket racing does a great job. Thanks again to Dud for the sherpa service! Last updated: 2012-09-09 12:00 AM

Breakfast of oatmeal and coffee, then picked up Dud and headed to the race for packet pick up.
I must give a shout out to Dud (dexter) on getting up and going with me. It made pre-race more comfortable as I didn't have to ditch my warm clothes until the race started. He got up early after a late night out just to ride along and help out! I truly appreciate that he did that! Thank you!
The first 13 miles of the race!
