just gut feeling. but you can't really go wrong with macca or crowie either

This is what I think will happen but I am rooting for Macca and Carfrae.

I think it's Macca all the way, he's in crazy shape right now and he knows what to do. Jacobs, Crowie, and Andreas obviously have a great shot as well. The Kona heat just seems to eat people alive, I can't see anyone else getting out there.

For the women, I just don't see anyone beating Rinnie, her run is just that good. Only Chrissie can both get off the bike faster AND stay ahead of her...anyone else just gets passed. So I guess we're looking at a '10 repeat in my book. 

I'm going with an aussie sweep (crowie, macca and pj) with a german or 2 close by and then potts

On the women's side, I think Dibens figures out the bike a little better and is tough to chase down, with rinny getting the job done. Steffen for 3rd.

Going for Macca!!!!!  All the way.

Miranda is my favorite too. 

Tough one.  I'm going with Rinny and Macca.

Also, my prediction is this Age Grouper from Texas comes out with the fastest overall swim of the day

I would really hope to see a shoot out between Crowie, Macca, A. Raelart and Rapp (a surprise to some?) with a win by Crowie and Rapp on the podium.

Women...logic tells me Steffen but mind wants to think Rinny knows what she has been doing and is targeting Kona.   Steffen may suffer a A. Raelart with too fast and too much this year?

One smokey to watch out for - Dave Dellow.  I think he'll top 3 in his debut at Kona.

Caroline Steffan will win the womens.

My prediction is that you will not see my ugly face on the podium. Thats about the only sure thing in this race.

I loved the Iron war and a couple of years ago with Macca and Raelert but I think this year we have the real potential for a bunch of guys to be together late in the race. Not saying it will be a sprint finish just very close.

Men: Macca. Alexander, Kienle or Potts or Rapp or PJ or or or arrrrgh my head is going to explode!

Women: Rinnie. Steffen, Cave and the little English lass realises what's she's missing and comes back next year and is first over the line!

I want to say Macca for the men but with all the short course training he had been doing the last year trying to make an OLY spot, I am not sure if he will take the title or not.

It's always a sticky mess sorting out who I want to win from whom I think WILL win!

3. Michelle Gailey (who the hell is Michelle Gailey? She's my MichMich, that's who!). NEVER underestimate smokin' hot, smokin' fast, teeny-tiny run-like-Rinny redheads. And very, very hungry after a series of unfortunate events during 2012, although she picked up the IM OZ win fresh off a broken hand. Remember, you heard about her here first.

Dark Horse pick for top 5: Luke McKenzie. He's very hot and cold (usually either bang-on wins or is way down/DNF), although he's got top 10 Kona to his name and is Crowie's riding buddy and legal leapfrogger. Also, he is a redhead and my Lukie.

I say Jedi Dunn takes his AG, although that's mostly because I want him to.
