Kona Predictions - Let's Have Em! (Page 3)

One pro guy will win the whole thing, and then a pro woman will finish first in the women's category.

Pete Jacobs has been my guy to watch for the last couple of years. He excels probably more than anybody at running in the heat and that's what wins this race. If he comes off the bike ahead of Crowie, watch for him to take the win. 

Keinle is almost as good, he's a bike crusher, he's hungry, has patience and can pace himself. Never underestimate someone that determined and calculating. So my predictions for this year are: 

1.Jacobs

2.Keinle

3.Crowie

For the womens:

1.Rinnie (best hot conditions runner ever)

2.Steffen (uber biker but wilts in the hot runs)

3.total toss-up, but 3rd will be probably 10-15 minutes back from 2nd

way to make predictions 3 hours into the race lol.

Yea, sorry about that, just saw this thread after being away all week, but it falls in line with my predictions from last year, which were accurate. I see that Keinle has experienced a flat, so who knows now?

Not suprised at all about Macca DNF'ing. That's his pattern.. win, DNF, win, DNF

It was a stretch using a little voodoo with a chicken and checking the crystal ball.

Kienle got a flat and lost 4 minutes. If that hadn't happened, he woulda got second. Just sayin...

Watch out for this guy in the future. An uber biker who can also run in the heat is a killer combination for Kona. 

I got it totally wrong about Renny.. She looked really hurt at the end of the run. 

The women's race was very inspiring. And I've an olympic today. Awesome stuff!!

Gonna pretend I'm in Kona. :=)

Carfrae Raelert is always right there and this year he doesn't have the residual hangover from Challenge Roth. Carfrae has not raced well all year. I love her run but I am not that confident that she will even make the podium. I hope she does, but.....

I did pretty well on the women I suspect not too many folks got the men's podium right......

I picked Jacobs, but had Rinny for the women.

So...what did I win?
