He was an inspiration for all of us who live here in Victoria and he is the reason I started doing triathlons. I wish him the best of luck and like I said, he will be missed. |

He was at the pro meeting (no, I was not in there either). I will miss waiting and rooting for him in hopes of acheiving another Ironman first place finish at Kona. |

I've followed Peter for a number of years, and the inspiration/motivation he provided to so many of us is priceless. Just thinking about his monastic/zen-like training and focus puts one back on-track. I've heard him give a variety of options after retirement ranging in going back to school (I believe he studied poli sci in university) to even politics. We're certainly witnessing a changing of the guards with the young gunners quickly ascending. |
